About Me
I have been learning about UX design my whole life. I remember learning about Norman Doors when I was six years old. My father, a graphic designer turned UX designer, would point out bad kerning on signs. As an actor, I studied communication, the human psyche, and storytelling for over 20 years. For more than a decade, working in the hospitality industry, I developed user experiences on a micro level. What made me a good server – my ability to read and adapt to each guest’s needs while balancing business goals – was the spark that led me to UX design.
I believe that, at its core, UX design is care work. It’s about empathizing with others, listening deeply, and crafting thoughtful solutions to real-world problems. I’m passionate about working in teams, finding each person’s strengths, and combining them to create something magical.
When I’m not designing or chasing my two kids around, I love creating cheeseboards for my friends, talking wine (ask me about biodynamic wine sometime!), and trying new restaurants. Living in Los Angeles, a city full of creativity, affords me and my family constant opportunities to learn new things.
